12/13/07: "I lost my job in
August and have been managing to make my payments on this loan and
other obligations on time. As you may recall from my original
application, I am also a licensed realtor, so I had several
transactions that were able to carry me the last few months. I had a
scheduled closing at the beginning of November and my client walked
away from the transaction literally one hour before closing.
Nonetheless, this made November a tight month for me. I believe when
the original loan payment was scheduled to come out of my bank
account there were insufficient funds. I was able to make a deposit
to cover my expenses by the end of November. Unfortunately, my bank
placed a hold on those funds and returned all payments that I've
made within the last 2 week period. This has been quite a
frustrating experience as a number of bills that I believed were
paid obviously were not and now have incurred a number of fees in
addition to not being paid. Believe me, I am not one to make excuses
and as you can imagine this has been quite stressful and I have
literally spent the last couple of days trying to work out
arrangments with everyone that I owe. I have been seeking new full
time employment and do have a part-time position scheduled to begin
next week. While it won't provide as much income as I had before,
I'm hoping to get caught up on everything as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, I cannot give you a specific date as to when I will
be able to bring the account current properly. I imagine when this
month's payment processes it will be paid however, I don't believe
the November and December payments combined will go through. That is
my situation in its entirety and I will keep you updated as things
progress."

there are quite a bit of issues. When I moved to SC instead of
taking the PM offer in GA, the whole reason I came to prosper, I
took a severe pay cut. I don't even make $50K anymore and I was
making much more and about to make even more if I was able to accept
the offer that was given to me. My mom was diagnosed with MS and her
health isn't the greatest at all. This year it was just like she
didn't seem to bounce back and then we found out she had MS. Long
story short, times are hard. I'm doing my best to make my payments
on time or very close to on time not to effect my credit or my
relationship with lenders on Prosper. It's why I'm trying to
consolidate now, to reduce the amount of money going out so I won't
get in a worse position. I hope that helps when you are responding

because I was late on my rent and almost had my vehicle taken away.
Things have gone from bad to worse. Im sorry this has happened and

10/10/07: "It seems as bad
luck is following me and hope you don't begin to think I am not
going to make a payment. There has been some fraudulant activity on
my bank account that I am trying to straighten out with my bank but
seem to be getting no where. The $200 I was going to pay on the 5th
had to go towards my bank account but I am hoping that everything
will get straightened out soon and I will receive that $200 back.
Until then I will have to delay my payment until I get paid again
which is on the 19th. I am going to try really hard to put as much
towards this loan as I can with that paycheck and if I get the $200
back that will go towards the loan as well. I am so sorry this is
happening and I hope everyone can be patient with me. I am trying my
hardest to get back on track with being in the accident and being
out of work and then this happening with my bank account. People owe
me money and I have been patient with them and hopefully when they
pay me back I can put it towards this loan. I just don't want all
the lendors to think that I am not making good on my word and not

for 12 months to get a private investor to put $250,000 into J&K
Growers. I considered the Prosper loan a bridge from A to B. Today I
met with the Investor who has said "yes" many times before. His
inheritance has made him a few extra hundred thousand and he has
personal knowledge of the product we produce and I have been his
realtor for 12 years. He knows the risk and is comfortable. As he
says, "If he leaves it in an checking account his wife and kids will
spend it before next year is over." So tomorrow Karen and I are
meeting him at his bank to receive the funds. Then depending on our
banks hold period on such a large amount we will be able to pay off
the Propsper loan completely within 10-15 days. Hope that is the

Prosper Customer Service on 12/19 to communicate Norman's intention
to repay the loan, along with a request to keep this loan out of the
upcoming debt sale. Sadly, they did not respond to my message
and the loan was sold to a debt buyer for pennies on the dollar.

apologize for the belated response. I'd like to update you as to my
situation.
As it was I hit a snag in my plan. Life kind of threw me a curve
ball, as always happens, and it knocked me off balance so to speak.
I was in some real financial pain there for a while, but there is a
light at the end of the tunnel. I expect to be paying off my past
due balances as well as the coming due January payment during the
1st week of January. Please let the lenders know that their payment
is upcoming soon.
I have had to rework my budget and find other sources of income to
supplement myself. Thankfully some of my hard work has paid off and
I feel that good times are ahead.
I apologize for the late payments. It was never my intention to cut
and run. I just have been really busy reworking my financial life
towards a more successful route. I'd also like for you, in your
message to the lenders, to let them know that their loan has not
gone unfulfilled...I am now earning a large portion of my income
